I grew up in a family that fixed things. I have been fixing things as long as I can remember. It has led me down a path in some ways not knowing exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up... ( actually I still don't know... )

I have had a love affair with mechanical things ever since I got my first erector set. I have since been a race engine builer, auto mechanic, construction equipment diesel mechanic, surveyer, car builder, mechanical designer, fabricator, software engineer, programmer, circuit designer, football, baseball and soccer coach, electrician, plummer, carpenter, muscle car restorer, ...

When I moved to my present location, I lost all my garage/shop space along with my latest restoration project, a '69, numbers matching, Plymouth Roadrunner. After about 3 years living without any projects except honey do's, I carved out a small space in the basement to set up some of my shop tools. There was no garage but it was next to a door so I had easy access to the covered patio outside. Now to find something to work on. It couldn't be anything as large as a car but needed to be bigger than my riding mower. While searching for a project, I ran across this thing called a "Military Mule". After making calls to various people I found on the internet to learn more about a Mule, I orderd a runner ( by the loosest definition ) from David Kelone. It arrived banded on a pallet, tires and foot basket underneath with a large cardboard box on top.

And so the journey began...
